Bar & Bat Mitzvahs with a distinctive flavor

Looking for an unusual way to celebrate a Bar-Bat Mitzvah in Israel?

Set against the enchanting landscape of the Galilee, an unforgettable ceremony in an ancient synagogue and a unique reception in the mystical city of Safed add up to the experience of a lifetime.

The ceremony is held in one of the ancient Talmudic-era synagogues of the Galilee - Qasrin in the Golan Heights or Bar'am near Safed - or in one of the beautiful 450 year-old synagogues of Safed, where the great mystics used to pray. Light refreshments served. (The ceremony can be conducted by a distinguished and personable rabbi from Safed, who will bring with him an old Torah Scroll).

A reception (lunch or dinner) in a magnificent 150 year-old stone house in the Artists' Colony of Safed can follow the ceremony directly or after a day's leisure activities.

In the intimate and private setting of his home, Chef Ronen Bar-El serves a sumptuous buffet of vegetarian dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients and delicacies of the Galilee - homemade goat cheese, fresh bread, garden herbs - and all strictly kosher.

In addition to delicious gourmet cuisine, your guests will enjoy relaxing in the two enclosed courtyards, shaded by canopies of grape vines, and on a roof with a view of Mount Meron and the Galilean hills.

Additional activities can be arranged, such as tours of the Old Quarter and artists' galleries, Kaballah talks, art amd candle-making workshops.
