Our Home

In the intimate and private setting of his 150 year-old home, Chef Ronen hosts groups for a distinctive dining experience. A cross between an exclusive restaurant and home hospitality, we offer guests a unique experience that is at once personal, tasteful and truly memorable.

Guests dine inside the house under vaulted domed ceilings, in two courtyards shaded by canopies of grape vines, and on the roof overlooking the Galilee hills.

We can host up to 100 people in our home. Larger groups are accommodated at the Red Kahn.

The stone house is an architectural gem, one of the most beautiful in the old City of Safed, once the home of famed Israeli writer Binyamin Tammuz (1949-1954) and painter Hannah Levi (1954-1996). After purchasing the house in 1997, the Bar-Els spent 8 months completely renovating the house with the help of local artists.
